You’re naturally creative. You're a strong thinker and writer. You love psychology.
And you know you're cut out for something that is going to stimulate your brain cells and not make you want to curl up into a ball every morning when your alarm goes off.
you know your brain cells will turn to mush.

But now — in this weird era of AI, does it even make sense to become a marketer?
When basic marketing assets can be created by AI, business owners are looking for MORE from their creatives.
Can I learn the fundamentals of marketing strategy & copy so that I can effectively direct a campaign from start to finish?
Can I become the person who clients turn to when they need deep, strategic, advice — not just a design?
Is becoming a certified strategic marketer the move for me?
There’s a thorn in your side.
You know the importance of marketing.
And you have no shortage of ideas.
Where should you run ads to actually see returns?
Should they be full page, half page, 3/7ths of a page?
Should you be running print ads altogether??? Maybe an Instagram campaign would be smarter?
So you do what any smart business owner does — you bring in a specialist.
You pay a pretty penny, but that’s not what stings the most.
What bothers you is the nagging thought that you could do it yourself.
You’re driven, creative, savvy.
You know how to use AI.
It’s maddening. Because you know your business inside out.
Do you keep draining your hard-earned money on always-booked-up freelancers every time you need something written?
Or do you keep it on your plate, hoping your AI ads don’t tank your sales?
Neither option makes sense for your business…
What if you had a clear understanding of marketing strategy & AI execution so you could take your business’s growth into your own hands?
Discover the real reason we built this program

But when paving your career, copywriting as an isolated skill is a harder sell.
Yes, some businesses are still hiring dedicated copywriters. But many businesses need someone who has a broad understanding of marketing and can skillfully direct a campaign from start to finish.

Diagnose the problem
Help shape the strategy
Lead the campaign
Direct AI — with discernment and skill.
Business owners seek strategists who can plan effective campaigns and oversee execution from start to finish.
Not another pair of hands. A marketer who can take ownership.

Research customers and competitors
Track results and recommend what happens next
Lead discovery and research
Diagnose positioning or conversion problems

Build AI-powered marketing systems
Remember: career paths are rarely linear.
You may begin in a broad marketing role, discover where your strengths are strongest, and specialize over time.
The title will vary by company, industry, and experience.
The core value stays the same:

Scrounging for clients
("Where are they all hiding??)
Wondering how much to charge
(ChatGPT’s range for website copy pricing is $250-$25,000???)
Begging for payments
(How could it be that a CHESED organization isn't even paying me?!?)
Giving clients HOURS of your time, unpaid
("We just have one small question")
Cold emailing despite ZERO responses
(doing the same thing over and over again, à la Einstein)
Accepting every willing client
(even the ones who say “the check is in the mail!")

For nearly a decade, I’ve trained over 600+ creatives and freelancers across three flagship programs and 12 live cohorts.
Today, our graduates run agencies, lead businesses, shape strategy, contribute in-house, enjoy thriving freelance work, and help brands find words and ideas and designs that move people — and yield measurable results.

My first and flagship program, CopyTribe, began as a rigorous education in copywriting.
But over the years, something became increasingly clear:
The graduates who went furthest were never “just” good writers.
They understood the customer.
They sharpened the offer.
They spotted the strategic problem.
They shaped the message.
They knew how to turn insight into execution.
They were strategists.
And as AI transformed what businesses could create on their own, the market began demanding this strategist as the baseline.
So after eight cohorts, I made the difficult decision to sunset CopyTribe.
Not because copy stopped mattering.
Because copy no longer tells the whole story.
It carries forward everything that makes our signature programs so effective (and beloved):
same rigorous standards
same personal feedback and mentorship
same commitment to work you can use in the real world.
But over the years, something became increasingly clear:
A marketer who can research, diagnose, strategize, create, direct, and use AI across the full campaign lifecycle.
But it’s taught in its proper place: as one powerful capability inside a broader strategic skill set.
The market changed.
We listened.
And we built the program for what comes next.

HANDS-ON ASSIGNMENTS

After this certification program, you’ll have a career-ready portfolio — and actual experience creating the work at various phases of marketing.
The assignments build on one another, taking you from understanding a business and its customers to developing its messaging, directing AI, and creating finished marketing assets.
Before you can market a business well, you need to understand what it does, whom it serves, what it is trying to achieve, and where it fits within the wider market.
You’ll investigate a brand’s goals, audience, offer, positioning, and competitive landscape, then organize your findings into a clear strategic summary. This becomes the foundation for the marketing decisions and creative work that follow.
You’ll leave with: A professional research document that shows you know how to get beneath the surface of a business before making recommendations.
A product or service is not automatically a compelling offer. The way it is positioned, packaged, priced, supported, and presented can determine whether people see it as valuable—or overlook it entirely.
You’ll develop or refine an offer by clarifying the audience, problem, promise, deliverables, pricing, proof, terms, and risk reversal. You’ll also consider how the business can test demand before investing heavily in execution.
You’ll leave with: A clear, strategically developed offer that demonstrates your ability to turn what a business sells into something customers can understand and want.
Strong marketing begins with understanding what customers actually care about—not guessing what they might care about.
You’ll gather and analyze customer language from sources such as interviews, surveys, reviews, sales calls, testimonials, and online conversations. With AI supporting the organization and analysis, you’ll identify recurring desires, objections, frustrations, buying triggers, and language patterns.
You’ll leave with: A research-backed picture of the customer that can guide messaging, offers, headlines, campaigns, and future marketing decisions.
Useful AI output depends on the quality of the information, direction, and judgment behind it.
Using your brand research, you’ll set up a custom GPT or Claude project that understands the business, audience, offer, and strategic context. You’ll test the system by generating ten ad headlines, assess where the output is generic or inaccurate, and refine the setup until it produces stronger, more relevant work.
You’ll leave with: A practical, reusable AI workspace—and proof that you can do more than prompt AI. You can brief it, evaluate it, and improve the system behind the output.
Creating an effective ad is not simply a matter of writing a clever headline or choosing an eye-catching image.
You’ll first analyze a real ad to determine its goal, audience, dominant idea, message, visual hierarchy, and intended action. Then you’ll apply those principles to create an ad of your own, bringing strategy, copy, and design direction together around one clear objective.
You’ll leave with: A finished ad sample and a stronger ability to explain not only what you created, but why each decision supports the strategy.
A campaign is more than a collection of unrelated ads. Each piece needs to contribute to a shared goal while giving the audience a fresh and compelling reason to pay attention.
You’ll develop a coordinated three-part campaign, shaping the strategic concept and writing ads that work together while exploring different angles, ideas, or stages of customer awareness.
You’ll leave with: A cohesive campaign sample that demonstrates broader thinking than a single standalone asset—and shows that you can carry one strategy across multiple creative executions.
This is where research becomes clear strategic direction.
You’ll conduct or review a client discovery, study the customer and competitive landscape, and use AI to support analysis without handing over the thinking. You’ll then define the brand’s positioning, value proposition, core messages, proof, objections, and voice—and organize everything into a guide that others can actually use.
You’ll leave with: A substantial, portfolio-worthy strategy document that can guide a copywriter, designer, marketing team, or AI system—and demonstrate your ability to turn a mass of information into a focused, usable message.
DISCLAIMER. This the the first cohort of The Modern Marketer, so exact assignment details may change as the program progresses.
TRUTH

Many creatives and marketers spend $1000s on coaching, mentoring, and critiques when they start out. Because without experienced eyes on your work, how can you know you're doing it right?
Some programs offer minimal critique… but no one is holding you accountable to send in your copy.
Some programs have assignments…but no one reviews them to see if you’re on the right track.
Modern Marketer is built around carefully crafted assignments which are critiqued & scored by experienced pros.

After all that hands-on practice and critique, you can showcase your certification with pride 👇

This all looks very interesting, Michal.

(If you want to work in-house or for an agency, you will benefit from the skills taught in Profitable Freelancer, but they’re not as crucial.)

Market yourself
Build a strong network
Work hard to get leads

Yes. Nothing makes us happier than setting up a grad with a fantastic role or project. 😀
We are very active in the job market and share many job opportunities and leads that come our way with our community of alumni.
Nearly 100% of our grads say that their first few jobs or projects were opportunities found through our network.
We make no guarantees about job placement because we only promise things that are directly within our control. That said, we regularly share leads and support you in this process.
What freelancers like you have asked before enrolling
Kidding. We 💓 fluffy carbs in these parts.
CopyTribe 8.0 is the only training program in existence that
Yes. All training sessions take place on Zoom and are recorded so you can watch them later on your online course dashboard. (Recordings cannot be downloaded.)
Here’s the thing: as a copywriter, you need Internet access anyway — to write high-performing copy. There’s research you’ll have to do for each project, plus important online resources to keep you current in the field.
BUT there are lots of solid filtering options available. And if it’s a dealbreaker, you don’t have to let any level of Internet into your home: several CopyTribe alumni rent office space. (They also love that when the day is over, work is over.)
For CopyTribe 8.0, you’ll need to access:
(You won't need to pay anything to access these platforms.)
Note: The NetFree filter is not compatible with CopyTribe as it blocks videos with women in it. This will limit your ability to complete the program properly. Our members have successfully used filters like Techloq and Gentech.
It's intense. 😊 It's a college-level program, preparing you with all the fundamentals you’ll need to turn copywriting into a career.
If you're worried about fitting CopyTribe into your schedule, we can connect you to grads who had the same concern, and they can share their experience with you directly.
Speak to a grad
Members invest 4-7 hours per week, on average. There are ~2 hours of class each week, and ~2 assignments per month that must be completed by the deadline (usually 1 week from the date it was assigned). Before you commit, make sure you’ll have the time and headspace to get the most out of an 8-month, fast-paced program and ~bimonthly assignments that will prepare you to be a confident copywriter.
Those 4-7 hours will give you enough time for trainings + assignments + keeping up in Slack.
And by the end of this certification program:
We totally understand. It's hard to properly complete a university-level program when your plate is overflowing and your life is very busy. If you feel like you're about to fall apart and you're at your breaking point, then this is not a good time for you to take this program.
If you're very busy but you can fit 4-7 hours a week into your schedule to dedicate to this program, then we warmly recommend you to take it. It only comes once a year and next year is not necessarily going to be any less busy for you.
We've had many people get married or give birth during the program and we make special adjustments and accommodations to allow them to better balance their personal and professional lives. If you're in that situation, we will make accommodations for you.
If you'd like to speak directly with a CT grad who had a major life milestone while taking the program, click here to fill out a form and we'll match you up. lete the program properly. Our members have successfully used filters like Techloq and Gentech.
Read our FAQs on marketing as a career here.
While most CT registrants have some professional writing experience, many don’t…but this can actually work to your advantage. It’s much easier to learn new skills when you don’t have to unlearn the old ones first. In fact, that’s why CopyTribe is ideal for you — you get expert eyes on your work, polishing, suggesting, auditing, and improving.
BUT to be a good candidate, you do need to have:
- strong writing skills
- an interest in people
- a willingness to market yourself (or proactively apply for jobs) using the techniques we learn.
Most weeks, the 1-hour classes will take place on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays at 2 pm ET, via Zoom. Some weeks have two classes; some weeks have one.
If you're not able to attend live, you can always watch the recording which is available a day or two later. Many of our graduates only watched the recordings and it worked out well for them.
If you’re a business owner who wants to
- Learn copy & marketing fundamentals
- Stop outsourcing all your marketing
- Own and direct your own marketing with confidence
then the Business Owner track is for you.
The Profitable Freelancer track is for you if you want to go all in and set up a promising business.
You're super serious about launching a lucrative and enjoyable copywriting career, and you want to finish CopyTribe with comprehensive knowledge about how to run your business and manage clients. The modules, masterclasses, assignments, cheatsheets, and templates in the Profitable Freelancer segment will fast-track your growth as a freelance copywriter and enable you to freelance more successfully.
If you know you want to only work in-house or for agencies, and not do any work for private clients, the Confident Copywriter segment of the program is enough to give you the skills you need.
CopyTribe is offered to both men and women — in separate cohorts. There is a women-only cohort, and a general-audience cohort which is open to frum men as well.
No. You will have lifetime access to the recordings but you will need Internet access to watch them.
If you want to run a freelance business as a copywriter, you have to be willing and happy to market yourself. For the first 1-2 years, you’ll need to work hard to get leads and build a strong network with a stream of clients. That said, while it’s true that a freelance copywriter must be comfortable with some type of self-marketing, it need not be aggressive or braggy. We cover this topic in depth during the Profitable Freelancer segment.
But if you'd prefer to avoid marketing yourself at all, you can work for a company as an in-house copywriter. You'll need to proactively apply for jobs, and you'll have lower earning power, but you won't need to get leads or market your services.
Yes, they do! And no hard feelings. Sometimes, it's simply not a fit. So feel free to try it out and you will get your money back in full if you'd like to pull out..
We expect anywhere from 30 to 50 members in the cohort.
This year, there will be handpicked, go-to mentors who will get to know each member on a more individual basis and support them on a personal level throughout the program.
Because every single business needs marketing strategy and copy.
In New York State alone, there are 523,000 businesses. If you build your skills, there are thousands of businesses who potentially want your services. The key is to get in front of them, and communicate the value you bring (which we teach in the Profitable Freelancer segment of this training).
Michal personally delivers every module and you can ask her questions directly at the end of each class.
In addition, she answers questions posted in Slack (the messaging platform we use to host the CopyTribe community) once a week, along with multiple other experienced copywriters who are available to answer questions.
Yes, but the price will be $1000 higher. If there’s a good chance you’ll want to operate as a freelancer, consider locking in the package price now.
Yes. Scholarship applications will open November 14.
However, scholarship applications will not open until registration has closed, so if you don't get chosen to receive a scholarship, you won't have the opportunity to participate in this year’s cohort.

DISCLAIMER. While many of our graduates have made back their money within a few months of finishing the program (or less!), and while many of them enjoy consistent, high-income months, enrolling does not guarantee results. We do not promise that after this program, you will get a steady stream of high-paying clients, or never experience freelance stress.
